211) Another Letter to My Younger-Self

Dear younger-self,

I'm 33 year old.

I've found my inner-peace than ever before, but it's an everyday practice since we live in an imperfect world.

You gain more experiences as you grow older.

You'll learn more at a young age from following these tips I could've (and should've) learned earlier. They'll give you a huge advantage in life.

Here you go:
  • Prioritize on your mental health more than anything else.
  • Read books. Learn more.
  • Listen to podcasts. Hear more.
  • Watch documentaries.
  • Meditate.
  • Rest, recover, and recharge. Sleep at least 8 hours a night.
  • Enjoy outdoors. Be environmental-friendly. Respect Mother Nature.
  • Lift Kettlebells. Work on getups and swings.
  • Invest in real estate and stocks.
  • Use a foam roller before and after a workout. It loosens and softens your muscles.
  • Focus more on life experiences than material possessions.
  • Build relationships.
  • Have tolerance.
  • Label your emotions or else they'll take over your mind and body.
  • Eat healthy. Eat more greens. Eat less carbs. Avoid eating whites except cauliflower.
  • Stop comparing yourself to others.
  • Drive slow. Save more gas and money. Less maintenance on car. No need to replace your brakes or tires right away.
  • Go organic. Grow plants on yard.
  • Save water. Place a big bowl on kitchen faucet. Wash dishes on top of it. You got yourself collecting gray water. Once big bowl is full of gray water, dump it into a huge bucket. Carry the bucket to your plants. Water them.
  • Drink at least 2 cups of water for every meal.
  • Choose one passion. Get better as you trust and enjoy the process.
  • Expect to fail in life. Be resilient and persistent.
  • Take a risk. Experiment it. You'll never know unless you try.
  • Ask and listen.
  • Get yourself an air purifier. Avoid fresheners and scents. Inhale fresh air.
  • Record on what you've spent and earned. Be okay with your money. At the end of every month, aim for a profit by going for more revenues than expenses.
  • Live on a budget.
  • Declutter your room. Sell items that you don't need, use, love, or treasure.
  • Start a business. Go small. No need to buy a lot right away. Go with what you have for now.
  • Learn from your past. You're traumatized from it. You hate your past. Then you become it for being the same person. That's an excuse. You can change.
  • Stop buying to impress others. Get item if you really need it.
  • Buying cheap doesn't save money. It piles up. You continue to waste money.
  • Aim for quality over quantity.
  • Avoid keeping your coins in a big jar or piggy bank. Deposit or use coins.
  • Be grateful for your family, friends, and relatives.
  • It's not always about you. The world doesn't revolve around you.
  • Accept life and death.
  • Have a clean heart. No more enemies. No more grudges. Forgive others. Be kind.
  • Tell stories and give examples to others. Avoid saying the "dos" and "don'ts" to others. No one even yourself is perfect.
  • Understand others. Make adjustments.

Believe and utilize the importance of lifelong learning.

These tips are boring to you right now. They'll help you to become a better person right away. My purpose in life is to be the best version of myself.

You want to be famous one day. You think being rich and famous will solve everything. You're wishing and waiting for fame to come to you one day. You believe being rich and famous will prove everyone wrong. You assume impressing others will complete and fix you. You're looking for an escape route.

I understand. Society taught you that.

You have to earn it. You can't just get what you want. It's not easy. It takes practice and patience. You can't cheat life. It reminds me of the movie Wonder Woman 1984. You'll have to wait for 2020 to watch it.

No matter what, you are going to have critics. It's impossible to please everyone.

Be better for your mind, body, and soul. Change for you. Have a purpose in life to help others.

Love,
Your present-self
