I was an insanely crazy kid. For example, my celebrity crush growing up was Emmanuelle Chriqui. (I also liked Alexis Bledel.) During this time, VHS tapes were in use. I recorded every appearance from Emmanuelle, like her talk show interviews.
(Not only for Thanksgiving Day, this is every day.)
Here is the list:
Home of NBA team, Sacramento Kings, Golden 1 Center, established only on September 30, 2016. (1st time ever to set foot inside brand new arena.)
Doors opened at 8pm. Concert was supposed to start at 9pm. Instead, Kanye started performing at 10:25. (I arrived to my assigned seating at 9:03. Yes, I came alone.) On October 30, 2016, the day after Disneyland.
(A smaller squad because of work reasons. Photo above was taken when our night was over. Before this photo, the squad somehow was separated. I was mostly with my close friend and his sister.) I have not been to Universal Studios Hollywood for a very long time. (I cannot even remember exactly when.) In that case, I was looking more forward to Universal Studios than Disneyland. Great timing to go on a day before Halloween as well. Actually not, I was very afraid from its annual nightly event, Halloween Horror Nights, featuring haunted houses, "scare zones," and live entertainments. (For example, characters from movie, "The Purge," and zombies were chasing you.) ..I am the one to be blamed.
Last night, I followed every word "that somebody" told me, and I am still the one to be blamed. I patiently helped "that somebody" from the start to the end. "That somebody" was cranky and impatient, for the reason that, the task cannot be found. ("That somebody" raised his voice to me as I patiently tried to find the task.) ...goes to Coldplay. (I sound like I am rich enough to give them an award.)
Their music is still great, year after year. I first heard their single, "In My Place." (I think that was back in 1997, and I believe that was their first ever single released. Thank you, sister, for introducing me to them. Her favorite song from Coldplay was "The Scientist.") Fresco painting of God and Adam nearly touching each other, The Creation of Adam, by Michelangelo. From the creation narrative of the biblical Book of Genesis, God breathes life into the first man, Adam. (Even though they barely touched each other, it feeds off a spark and connection. Few months ago, I saw this painting live in Sistine Chapel. Amazing experience walking-in as I witnessed history.)
Human interactions involving different relationships, like father to son, player to coach, girlfriend to boyfriend, brother to sister, friend to friend, and so on. A single man seeking woman to mainly "connect." (Yuh, that is me.) Connecting with each other builds a stronger relationship. ..to the point where it cracked. (It was very frustrating. Obviously, I cannot live without my phone.)
Luckily, I had a screen protector. (Thanks Dad for the recommendation.) My close friend, and his family (his sister and cousins) planned this trip about 2 months ago. (A boyfriend, friends, and family. A mix of everybody.) We should have planned it during a weekday, but some could not request their days off from work. (Obviously, less people during weekdays. Shorter wait time in rides. Oh, well.)
Disneyland on Saturday, October 29, 2016. (Side note: The next day we went to Universal Studios as well, but some could not go because of work reasons. In a few days, I will be writing a post, "Universal Studios On a Sunday.") Last night, I slept at a decent Airbnb spot, where it was only 2.5 miles away from my work. (By the way, Airbnb is a phone app, where you can rent a temporary spot to live in from a property owner.)
It was a hostel startup spot. (Few months ago, I went on a 2-week Eurotrip but I did not experience the hostels yet.) |
