30) Today, I Am Grateful For...

(Not only for Thanksgiving Day, this is every day.)

Here is the list:

• ​My family. (They have always been there for me. What is my biggest fear? Dying alone.)
• My friends. (I have a few close friends. We have gone through our "ups and downs." Our relationship has grown stronger over the years.)
• Accepting life. (13 years ago, I lost my sister. I was drained mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.)

• You reading this post in my blog. (Thank you very much.)
• Becoming a better person than I was before, such as I rarely admitted my mistakes. Also, I used to have a very huge ego. Loving myself than ever before.
• My mentor. (Gaining more experience.)
• Continually writing my blog. (Even though, I am not a famous blogger. Most importantly, I enjoy writing this blog.)
• My good health. (Yes, I ate lots of turkey today. Also, being able to still play basketball and tennis. Sooner or later, my legs will eventually break down.)
• Occasionally donating my unused items/possessions, such as my basketball shoes. (Somebody out there needs it more than me, since I own plenty of shoes. I do not deserve it.)
• My barber. (I like my haircut.)

I must remind myself to be always grateful.

My parents have raised me to be always respectful (and have manners as well).

For example, the restaurant server placed the bill on the table. My close friend's cousin insisted to pay the whole bill for us. I offered to pay my share. Thus, I loudly said, "I feel ashamed."

Yes, I know who ungrateful people are. What matters is to focus only on myself.

Why be grateful?

​Because gratitude acknowledges goodness in my life.
