The past is remembered. Live in the moment. The future is in you.

18) My Long Commute To Work

Currently, I still live in Vallejo. Since last week, I have been working at this new, great job in Palo Alto.

63 miles away from home to job. It is a one hour and eight minute drive without the massive, hectic traffic. (I wish I can drive with ease.) During commuting hours, it takes about three long hours.

I am looking for alternatives, other than commute to work. Finally, I have a reason to move out of Vallejo.
(Like it goes with the common saying, "Everything happens for a reason.")

Find a cheap room for rent. (Highly unlikely in Palo Alto area.) Take the BART. Stick with the long commute for now. (Forget that.)

Story of my long commute to work.

I wake up and check the traffic update. Start brewing the coffee. Eat a huge brunch meal. Get dressed, then clean my teeth. (Yes, I shower the night before.) Finish drinking the ready coffee. Start driving to work. Listen to an interesting life podcast, or jam Apple music.

(Since you are reading this, do you know anybody where I can live with in or near Palo Alto area?)

Halfway through my work, I want to pee. (Obviously, coffee keeps myself awake, but I urinate every hour.)

My great mentor told me, "Eat sunflower seeds instead."

I am happy with my job, but then again, the long commute drains my energy. (First and foremost, I will not quit this job. For now, more rest is my cure.)
