Be kind to everybody. (Honestly, it is tough. I am slowly training my mind.) Most importantly, do not expect any kindness in return. (I was always this type of person. I admit it. For example, I wrote a blog post, "Ungrateful People." I hold grudges. I am glad that I am fully aware of it. Now, I want to let go of holding grudges. Fighting ain't worth it. Sorry, ungrateful people.) Classical Greek philosopher and mathematician, Plato, once said, "Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle." (Acknowledge their scapegoat. Do not give them a harder battle. Do not win yourself. Try to remove your ego. You are not a "push-over." Again, be kind.)
If I am not able to be kind, I close my eyes. Then, I take 3 deep breaths as I lift my tongue touching the roof of my mouth. If you catch me looking at you, I will smile. For instance, as I was hiking, a stranger walked past me. He told me something like, "I like your forever smile. Keep smiling." I said, "Thank you." If you beat me in a tennis match or basketball game, I will congratulate you. If you honk at me on the road, I will give you a thumbs up. Be happy. Be free. Let it be. Kindness is passed on from photo shown below. A sweet, old lady photobombed with a smile. Hopefully, I made you smile as well. If so, kindness is passed on again. 😁 Yuh. |
